Shelton Brown

Mr. Brown is currently the Founder/CEO of ACTHR Inc, a global provider of accounting, tax, and business development services, with over 20 years of experience. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of E2 Northeast Motorsports, Inc., the first NASCAR team solely owned by an African American woman and is currently a partner and Chief Financial Officer of Chef Monica’s Blends Inc., a national brand producing and distributing cooking spice blends. Mr. Brown is also a subcontractor with the US government, providing financial services support, with 20 years of experience.

Mr. Brown is a graduate of North Carolina A & T State University, one of the largest producers of minority certified public accountants in the country and he received his master’s degree from one of the top five MBA programs in the country, University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business. He has served as an auditor for Arthur Andersen; Vice President of Finance for Dudley Products; an auditor for AMICO Fuels, and a Lead Auditor for the Internal Revenue Service.

In 2000, Mr. Brown founded ACTHR, Inc., a global full-service accounting, tax and business development firm. In the latter part of 2008, he was appointed to the position of Senior Vice President of Finance for the 100 Black Men of America, Inc., where he was responsible for overseeing the fiscal operations of this organization on the national and international level. In 2011, Mr. Brown founded PHETE Foundation in Charlotte, North Carolina. This company is the Community Development Partner of Studio South, which has a $75 million full-service production studio development in Greenville, South Carolina and a $500 million full-service production studio complex in Austin, Texas set to open in Spring 2022, and recently broke ground on a site in London, England.
In 2017, Mr. Brown and his firm, ACTHR, Inc., was accepted as a tax and accounting partner with Morgan Stanley to provide services to their professional athletes and high network clients.
He is currently in development to launch a YouTube channel and through other media outlets, focusing on financial literacy and also empowerment for the visually impaired.
